A small experiment that turns sound into generative line drawings — live, right here in your browser. No account, no install, nothing to download.
How it works
1It listens. The page picks up sound — from your microphone, or from an audio file you choose.
2It draws. That sound is fed into a drawing algorithm that builds a pattern in real time. Louder, busier sound makes a busier image; silence leaves it calm.
3You shape it. Make noise or stay quiet, pick a visual style, nudge the controls — no two results are ever the same.
4You keep it. Save or print a high-resolution picture at any time — each export captures that one moment of sound and settings.
Five styles to explore
Peaks & Valleys — stacked ridge lines, like the Unknown Pleasures album cover.
Map — branching roads that scroll past like a street atlas.
Terrain — contour lines of an imaginary landscape.
Sounding — a scrolling chart of the sound’s frequencies over time.
Field — a flowing black-and-white texture that ripples with the sound.
Pick one under Pick a Style in the controls on the right — switch whenever you like; your sound keeps playing.
Ready? Choose how to start
Your browser will ask for permission to use the microphone — choose Allow. Nothing is recorded or sent anywhere; the sound is only used to draw, here on your device.
